What brought Japan to your attention in the first place? If it was an anime, tell us about it! Spill your guts on your fascination!

*sighs* Darn you, Gundam Wing. You started all this mess! *shakes fist at the sky*

The big didn't bite until I was already in high school. Although I can say that I raised an eyebrow at Japan's awesomeness when I saw NiGHTS into Dreams. That game still gets me choked up.

The first Japanese thing I loved was a band called Pizzicato Five:

Then a friend lent me the entire Cowboy Bebop series and I was convinced of Japan's greatness.

NiGHTS is a great game, though I didn't think the Wii remake quite lived up to the original.

Journey of Dreams was nowhere near what the original NiGHTS was. But I own a copy, purely for the characters. I'm still freaking out over his voice! ><

I've never seen Pizzicato Five. Might give it a shot. ^_^

Admittedly, pokemon was probably what introduced me to Japan, though I didn't know it was Japanese at the time, I think Bleach was the thing that got me into Japan when I knew it was stuff coming over from Japan...
