I find MMOs get boring and repetitive. Plus because they have to be an ongoing thing there's never a true end to the game. No epic final clash that saves the world followed by a beautiful cut-scene and epilogue. You just kind of keep playing.
that would be what would happen if you put all the Final Fantasy games into one :3
Not really. All the Final Fantasy games take place in different worlds and have their own unique sets of characters and stories (with the exception of games like X-2 which are direct sequels). If you put them all into one it would be a strange mismash of "what the fuck is supposed to be going on?!" and would have probably one of the longest final boss fights ever due to having to go through all the final bosses of all the games and the tendency of them all having multiple forms to go through.
That said I'm fairly certain the last good Final Fantasy game from like the main numbered portion of the series was FFIX. Ten was okay, couldn't get into 12, both the MMOs were just a bad idea in general and 13 isn't a game it's a badly written cliche movie (granted it's a very pretty looking movie but that's all it has going for it).
