Yes. Languages.

How many do you speak? Which ones do you speak?

I fall into the "lazy American" category, with only one language that I can comfortably hold a conversation with. However, I am continuing to learn French.

I only speak English. Never have had a need to learn another one, I see no point in it.

Sure it'd be kinda cool but I personally find it annoying when people talk in other languages anyways and I don't want to be one of those people.

Took a spanish class once in highschool though. Only class I ever failed.

Only know English myself as well, never learned a lick of french in all the years the schools tried to drill it into my brains, making a conscious effort to learn Japanese and have actually learned quite a bit, i know small bits of Portuguese due to my heritage and family and such >.>

Does attempting to learn Al Bhed from FFX count? I mean sure it's technically a cipher but it does have pronunciation rules and stuff like a language...

On that matter, Daedric from Oblivion is another cipher that I can effectively translate...

i wouldn't go so far as to say al bhed counts as the only rule for al bhed is that you don't need to translate names :/ daedric on the other hand might count but i wouldn't count it personally >.>

Well there are rules to the pronunciation of Al Bhed as well as the rule about not changing names. I actually came across the old papers I used to have that went over all the stuff about it in unnecessary detail.

Daedric I was mainly mentioning since I was already talking about ciphers. I wouldn't ever count it as a language. Though it is interesting when translating because in all of Oblivion there isn't a single occurrence of the letter "Y" no joke.

For example, the cowl thingy from the thieves guild (I'm too tired to try and remember it's name) says "shadow hide ou" on it in Daedric. (you know.. "shadow hide you" being the like saying thingy of the thieves guild...)

So do you really want to know how many languages I can speak in? okay let us put it this way.....

Watashi ga nihongo o hanasu koto ga dekiru (not quite comfortably I can write it fine :3 ) [Japanese]
Je parle aussi français. [French]
Ich kenne eine kleine Menge des deutschen [German]
Español fue fácil para mí. [Spanish]
Uczę Polska. [Polish]
Я нахожусь в процессе обучения русскому как хорошо. [Russian]

Yes I took the time to go through the character map to find the special characters. Which took me a while.
