Noobiecon - April 10-11, 2010!

Near the Central New York area? Able to get there even if you aren't in the area? Utica and MVCC are having their 4th annual Noobiecon! Forget what you may have heard about our previous cons, because this year is completely revamped!! New Events, New Guests, New Prizes and New Games!

Troy Baker, voice of characters such as Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood, Kouga Gennosuke from Basilisk, Jin Kariya ad Ganryu from Bleach, Schneizel el Britannia from Code Geass, Frank Archer from Fullmetal Alchemist, Pain and Yamato from Naruto Shippuden, and many more anime/video game roles is going to be at this years Noobiecon!

PK Cards is also on our list of guests! Don't miss your chance to possibly win yourself a new 360, Wii, PS3, or even a house or car!

Now, you may ask yourself if you have the money for a convention such as this. Well, if you can get there, the convention admission is absolutely FREE! That's right! FREE! You won't have to pay a cent to enjoy all the convention goodness.

The Convention will take place on April 10, 2010 and will be held at Mohawk Valley Community College!

Possible Events, Games and Stuff!


Cosplay Masquerade
Dress in your finest Cosplay and compete against other cosplayers! Come up with a skit, dance or just tell us about your costume and who you are portraying! Winners in different categories win prizes!!

Cosplay Chess
Cosplayers stand on a GIANT chessboard! Why, you ask? To play chess, of course! You are the pieces as two other people play chess. When one piece takes another, the cosplayers playing as those pieces battle it out! It's all out cosplay war!

Anime Trivia Game
Think you know all there is about Anime? Prove it by answering these questions and showing just how chock full of random anime knowledge you are! Prizes will be awarded!

Who's Line is it Anime?
Cosplay skit improve. Surprise us!

Anime Screenings
A must at any anime convention! We will be showing tons of different anime in different rooms throughout the convention! Make sure you have ID, some we will have to make sure you're old enough. ^_~

Cosplay Dance-off
Cosplayers dance their way to victory in front of a panel of Judges! Winners will be awarded prizes! Dance by yourself or bring a group!

Zombie Hunting
Grab your nerf-guns, it's time to go hunting... for Zombies!! We will have a large "city of cardboard" set up in one of our larger rooms while zombies run around trying to eat your brains! Shoot the undead to rack up points and the person with the most points at the end of the game wins a prize! Try not to die! O.o

Zombie/Special Effects Make-up
We have a skilled make-up artist on site ready to assist! Want to be a zombie, tell him what kind of gorey puss or gash you want protruding and where. xD If you want help with make-up for your cosplay or whatnot, just bring a photo of what you want and little knicknacks that you think he won't have with him to finish it and he will do it for you! Lets see if we can give him a real challenge. ^_~

Maid Cafe
This is my event! Me and a couple other lovely ladies dressed in Maid Outfits serving you goodies! What's not to love? There will be little maid games where you can win candy or you can even challenge us! We will also have other challenges where you could win a free meal! Maids, Music and Munchies! We look forward to serving you! ^_^

Video Game/Card Game Tournaments
Video Games:
There will be tons of videogame events going on throughout the convention. This would include games like Guitar Hero, Modern Warfare 2, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Left 4 Dead 2, Bioshock2, and more! Competition entrance fee is $2 and if you win, you could win all sorts of cash prizes and can even walk away with a copy of the game!
Card Games:
More will be announced on the card games since I can't remember off hand. I know there will be a PK Cards Tournament, a Naruto Card Tournament and a Magic the Gathering Card Tournament. Possibly a Fullmetal Alchemist Card Tournament. Cash and other prizes will be awarded to winners!

We will also have a Speed Painting Contest! We give you a little Miniature and you have a timelimit to finish painting your miniature. They will then be judged and winners will be awarded prizes! You even get to keep your miniatures, so make sure you like what they look like! xD

This convention is a 2 day convention instead of 1 day like originally planned! Also, admission is still free for both days! Updates have yet to be posted on the site but you can find a good majority of them on the convention forums! Thankyou~! <3

omg thts a lot of stuff for a free con!!! I think ill be able to drag my bro along for the zombie nerf gun thingiy and teh video game tornaments!~ Yay! I might get them to do hetalia cosplay with me~ Or just re-use our xxxholic~
And a dance off? Count us in!

Edit: Now were considering kingdom hearts,pandora hearts,or fate/stay night cosplay~

lol! I don't know if signups for that are gonna be on the website, or if you sign up at the con. xD My suggestion is to check the site often for updates... To go to the site (Which I don't think has been updated, I will check with Rob about that), click on the word "Noobiecon" in the first post or click on the banner picture. xD That will take you there, too.
