So guys, I was wondering who here has ever tried Anime Fandubbing and auditioning for fandubs?
I recently have been throwing out some auditions for a few and its pretty fun even if I don't get the part. I'm actually doing a Kamon Nandaba audition xD

What are your thoughts on fandubbing in general? Would you ever do it? And although its probably an instant yes, have you ever wanted to be a voice actor?

I always wanted to be a voice actor, but I need lots of practice for that.

One of my friends up here does fandubbing hardcore. He offered me a spot, I just haven't started yet. XD

That's awesome! I've never done anime fandubs besides this one time with the Hetalia ED.

Hmm fandubbing could be good. Since quite a few of the dubs done for DVDs are emotionless compared to the Japanese VA. Would I ever do it? Probably not since I don't have that great a voice and I think I'm pretty monotone

I just started and even though I may not get the parts im having a blast recording :3

@jester, i understand cuz i was half-monotone-ish but ive kinda gotten better over time :P just gotta improvise a bit. Ive been digging around into it. If i get any of the parts ill link the fandubs so you can see my examples maybe :D

@Chelsea that was amazing! I like your voice :D it's really good for it. I thought it sounded nice and smooth Awesome!

Fandubbing would suck for me my voice isn't good, and the voice I did for my stuffed bunny when I was a kid is good to me but it needs work on because it's kind of scrathy these days, because of harming my voice by screaming.

It has been an aspiration of mine to get into voice acting, and I guess I should have an alrightish chance at auditions, having taken music at GCSE and A level using my voice as my performance instrument, and I do drama/theatre studies at A level, so that would help with the acting side... So I should be able create an effective voice repertoire to get into the industry.
